Last updated: April 2026. This page describes how we handle information for the free AI Discoverability Audit tool at aidiscoverabilityaudit.online.
Introduction
AI Discoverability Audit is a public website auditing tool operated as part of the discoverability. STUDIO product family. When you submit a URL, we crawl publicly reachable pages you point us to and generate a scored report. Unlike a simple brochure site, this service necessarily creates and stores audit records so your report link keeps working.
Who operates this site
This site is operated by discoverability. STUDIO in connection with the AI Discoverability Audit product. For privacy-related requests, use the contact channel listed under “Your rights and contact” below.
Information we collect
URL you submit. When you start an audit, we collect the website address you enter (and derived identifiers such as the normalized hostname) so we can crawl and attribute results.
Technical data from our servers. Like most websites, hosting and infrastructure may automatically log limited technical data (for example IP address, user agent, timestamps, and error diagnostics) needed to run the service and secure it.
Audit and report data
To produce your report, we retrieve and analyse publicly available content from your site (for example page URLs, HTTP status, titles, headings, excerpts, and signals used for scoring). We store audit results—including scores, findings, roadmap text, and related structured data—in our database so you can return to the same audit via your link and so we can operate support and product fixes.
We do not log into your CMS or bypass authentication; we only request URLs that are reachable without a password on your side.
Email and purchase-related information
You can use the core audit without creating an account. If you choose features that require contact or billing—such as unlocking PDF delivery or purchasing optional add-ons like AI Insights—we collect the email address you provide (and, for paid flows, payment-related identifiers processed by our payment provider). Email is used to deliver those features, communicate about your transaction where needed, and maintain a record tied to your audit.
How we use information
We use the information above to run the audit, display and store your report, improve reliability and security, and provide optional features you request.
We may also use aggregated or de-identified signals derived from audits (for example frequency of issue types, score distributions, or crawl outcomes) for internal product improvement, quality monitoring, and broad trend analysis. That work does not require selling your data or sharing identifiable audit contents for unrelated marketing.
Data retention
Audit records are retained so long as we need them to operate the service (including letting you reopen your report link), unless we delete them sooner as part of maintenance, abuse handling, or a verified request where applicable law requires. Exact retention periods may evolve with infrastructure and legal requirements; we keep data no longer than necessary for these purposes.
Third-party services
Depending on configuration, subprocessors may include: database hosting (we use managed PostgreSQL compatible storage), payment processing through Stripe when you pay for optional features, and—when you purchase or unlock AI Insights—processing of specific audit-derived inputs through an AI inference provider to generate that optional output. Those providers receive only what is needed to perform their function under our instructions.
Hosting and analytics tools supplied by our deployment platform may also process technical logs or usage metrics necessary to run the site.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information or your audit contents to data brokers. We do not use your audit to train public third-party AI models for unrelated purposes beyond what is required to deliver optional AI Insights when you explicitly unlock that path.
Your rights and contact
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal data. To exercise those rights or ask privacy questions, contact discoverability. STUDIO through discoverability.studio. Include enough detail for us to locate your audit (for example the report link or domain you audited) if your request relates to a specific run.
This policy may be updated occasionally. Continued use of the service after changes is posted means you accept the revised policy.
